After many years of travelling we signed up for our first "guided tour". This was a one week trip to Cyprus, where we knew no one.
We were bussed to this large hotel where we stayed for 3 nights at winter prices.
Below you can see our 100m long swimming pool outside the restaurant with the ocean in the distance. The water was too cold for swimming.. for me anyway.

On Monday, January 21, we started off the day at the ruins of a Cyprus/roman school.

Later it was interesting to see a number of artifacts that were quite a number of years old.

A number of the pictures are linked to information on the internet, so if you are interested just click on them.
Our trip became suddenly very expensive as our tour guide took us to an exclusive place that makes, imports and sells expensive carpets. We ended up buying one that we will have to decide whether to hang on the wall to look at or put on the floor to walk on. The salesman was also the designer.
We did, of course, also visit a number of other places.

On Wednesday we moved to a less exclusive hotel, but still a very nice one, The Olive Tree Hotel. Even this one had far too much food for breakfast and dinner!!
